I recently received an email from Leo Correra, my friend and colleague from the World Community for Christian Meditation, with special information about a retreat coming this summer in Siena, Italy. I only wish I could be in Italy on a silent retreat myself, and this promises to be a wonderful experience.
The Monte Oliveto Retreat 2018 will have the theme Being Alone Together – Solitude and Community, from 2 to 9 June, led by Laurence Freeman OSB and Giovanni Felicioni.
Leo adds that “We are trying to bring younger people so we will have a room (dorm) that can welcome 5 persons who can sleep on the floor with their own sleeping bag and mat so that we can invite younger people (under 35) at an even lower cost of 290 euros.”
You can find full detailed flyer about the retreat, along with a registration form, on the retreat’s announcement site at WCCM – http://wccm.org/content/monte-oliveto-retreat-2018
